Jordan's Soccer Team

For some reason I can't figure out how to get my pictures from Picasa to Blogger. So bear with me!

Jordan likes soccer, but she'd rather read a book. She was not commited to soccer in anyway. But she did stick it out to the end of the season. Here is one picture of her playing. I'll try to figure out how to get more.

Wish me luck!

Photography Class

I'm going to be teaching a monthly photography class.  I'm a little nervous and will post pictures of the class once I DO the first class.  The first class in November the first Saturday.  Problem is that it is also an in-service meeting for Relief Society Presidency.  Same day, and of course same time.  So the first class will be put off an hour, no big.  I just hope everyone got the memo!

Our first class will be How to take pictures of your Christmas tree, to capture the lights.  How to use a tri-pod to take pictures of your tree. How to take pictures of your family in front of your Christmas tree, for the Christmas card. And How to use your timer, if you have one, to take pictures of you with your family in front of the Christmas tree!

I hope people bring their manuals.  Some things are universal.  Some aren't.

Jamboree

Bailey had a Jamboree for soccer.  How it works is this: You show up, search ten fields and hope you can find your team in time.  Then you play 3 teams, only a half game, 20 minutes, and 10 minutes in between.  They tied the first game 0-0, then won the next two games 1-0 and 1-0.  Over all they ended up in second place and got little plaques for it.  It was fun.

Pictures!
The Team, most of them anyway.

The first shot at the goal.

And the second try.  This game we tied 0-0.

Bailey did this a lot the first game.

Our first gooooooaaaaaaaal!

Bailey saving a goal!

Opps, the gloves make it hard to hold on to!

Fearless she jumps at the ball!

And makes the save! Win 1-0

Here she is kicking it, her best goal kick yet!

And the last game Win 1-0!
Bailey got a cramp so she didn't play too much this game.  So there are more pictures of other kids and less of her.  She did a fantastic job and tried so hard!  We are very proud of her!  Our plan is to sign her up for indoor soccer and Spring soccer.

Old Sturbridge Village

Bailey and I had a great time at OSV.  We went up all the stairs and looked into cellars.  We put on dress up clothes and took a carriage ride.  We learned a lot about the time and how people lived back then.  What's interesting is that I'm reading 1776 for book club.  And Bailey is learning about the Revolutionary War.  So we are both about 50 years behind OSV time, which is set in 1830.  But it gave us both a little insite to what was happening at the time.
